Summary

Quarterback Rank: #51
Overall: #280

Garrard was cut by the Jaguars before last season and had back surgery shortly after getting released. He wasn't healthy enough to play all season, recovering from major back surgery. Garrard should be healthy enough to return this season and probably has a few good years left at age 34. He has been a productive starter in the NFL but far from prolific. Garrard has 20-plus touchdown passes just once in his career. He does have 3,500-plus yards two of the last three years he has played. Garrard might be best suited for backup material at this point of his career, though. He will compete for the starter's job in Miami. Garrard will flash brilliance at times, but also struggles with accuracy and decision making at the wrong times. Garrard is an asset as a runner, having 279 or more yards the last three seasons playing. He can makes plays with his legs.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Even when he was the starter for the Jags, Garrard wasn't much of a fantasy play. He would help as a spot starter but not much more if he wins the starter's job in Miami. He is a stretch for fantasy teams this season. Don't expect a breakout season after missing all of 2011.

Notes
