Brown had just a carry last season for the Lions. He played just a game for the Lions despite the team having injury issues at running back. This should tell you something about Brown, who is battling for his NFL life. He has just 45 carries in three seasons. Brown has good speed and moves in the open field. He also has pretty good hands, which could eventually land him a job as a change-of-pace back. Brown isn't a very big back and lacks the size you would hope from a starting back.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Brown doesn't seem too likely to start getting a ton of work. He might get 200 total yards if all goes well for him in 2012. Go with better options.

He had nine carries for 30 yards rushing against the New England Patriots Saturday, Aug. 27, and said he is starting to focus more on the details now that he has picked up the team's system. He also had 48 yards receiving during the game.

Fantasy Impact: Brown has run impressively for the Lions in the preseason. He could even push Jerome Harrison for the backup job if he continues to play this well.
