SUMMARY
Wide Receiver Rank: #86
Overall: #241

Thomas was the starter about the entire season but that didn't lead to a big year for him. He didn't do much despite playing 15 games and starting 13 of those games. He had 44 receptions for 415 yards in a bad Jaguars passing attack. Thomas had just four games with more than 50 yards and his season high in yards was just 73. Thomas also scored just a touchdown all season. He really saw his production dip after having more than 800 yards the previous season. This could be a make or break year for Thomas, who will challenge for a starting role again this season but likely serve as the No. 3. Thomas doesn't have much size, but is quick with plus hands. Thomas runs good routes and has a knack for getting open. His lack of size makes him a below-average red-zone target.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Thomas has done some damage in the past so don't totally give up on him. The Jaguars passing game should be improved with Mike Mularkey in charge of the offense, which is encouraging for Thomas. We still doubt he has a huge season but he could be productive, getting 60 or so catches for 700 yards and a few scores.
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas could be move to the slot if the team is able to pick up a few wide receivers through free agency and the 2012 NFL Draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas (head) suffered a head injury in Week 14 and will not return to the game.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas will face the Houston Texans in Week 8 on the road. Last season, Thomas had his only career 100-yard game against Houston in Week 10 at EverBank Stadium, thanks to a 50-yard last-second touchdown on a ricochet. He finished with eight catches, 149 yards and a score. He has not come close to the century mark this season, posting a season-high 73 yards in Week 4, while tying a career high with eight grabs in Week 1.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas is a risk with his play this season. Consider him a marginal No. 3 or 4 receiver.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas was held to just one reception for eight yards in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens Monday, Oct. 24. After posting 20 receptions over his first four games, Thomas has managed just eight catches over the past three games.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas has really slowed of late. He isn't getting the looks for the Jags.

The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to a three-year, $18 million extension with WR Mike Thomas Thursday, Oct. 6. Thomas will have $9 million of that guaranteed.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas said the receivers are still trying to gain chemistry with QB Blaine Gabbert. 'You could just tell - the not having timing with Gabbert on certain plays - you could just tell on certain plays the chemistry wasn't really there,' Thomas said. 'At the same time, it's football. You have to be able to make plays. We have to get after it and execute.'
Fantasy Impact: Not a surprise. Gabbert is making some strides but has a long ways to go. The passing game will be up and down the rest of the season.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Thomas had eight receptions for 55 yards in the Week 1 win against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas got his receptions but the Jags offense was run heavy, which is likely a trend going forward. Thomas' value is limited some in this offense.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Gene Smith said that WR Mike Thomas likely will be the team's No. 1 wide receiver next season.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas is setup for a career season. He has a chance to post solid numbers in a lead role.
