Moreno lasted about half the season before suffering a torn ACL. He was slowed by injury some early in the year, though, which resulted in lost playing time to Willis McGahee. Moreno did average a career high 4.8 yards per carry but had just 37 carries in seven games. His career high in rushing is 947 yards, which came his rookie season. His numbers have decreased each of the last three seasons. At this point, Moreno seems best suited as a third-down or change-of-pace back. He should be healthy for the start of the season but his injury is something to monitor during training camp. Moreno is a big-play back with top speed but also enough size to move the pile. He still lacks consistency, though, and needs to be more patient running the ball. And his ability to stay healthy is a concern as Moreno has played a full season just once in three years.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Moreno missed his chance for a breakout year and now seems destined for backup work. He'll get his chances but isn't anything more than a low-end No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy back. He'll help more in PPR leagues as he has a good chance to get 30-plus receptions. Moreno could get 700 or 800 total yards and four touchdowns.

Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno's (knee) tenure with the team could be over, particularly after the team selected RB Ronnie Hillman in the NFL Draft. He does not appear to be a player that is truly on the team's radar. If Moreno has a good camp, maybe he will be given a chance.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said Thursday, Feb. 23, that RB Knowshon Moreno's (knee) rehab has been going well. 'He's had a great rehab. (Steve) 'Greek' (Antonopulos), our trainer, does a great job. I see Knowshon in there just about every day down in rehab, so it's coming along quite nicely,' Fox said.

Updating a previous item, prosecutors say Denver Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno has been charged with drunken driving and careless driving after getting pulled over in south Denver. District attorney's spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough said Tuesday, Feb. 7, that Moreno is also charged with failure to have proof of insurance and is due back in court March 2 after police issued a summons. Moreno was pulled over Feb. 1 after allegedly driving 70 mph in an interstate construction zone where the speed limit was 45 mph.

Fantasy Impact: We still think he has the talent to start in this league but likely needs a change of scenery.
