SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #88
Overall: #529

Hanie found his way into the starting lineup because of injury but didn't keep the starting job. He really struggled in a starting role, having nine interceptions to three touchdowns while completing just 50 percent of his passes. It was the first season Hanie had double-digit pass attempts but might be his last. Hanie probably is looking at a No. 3 quarterback job for 2012 with the Broncos with the hopes of working his way back up the depth chart. Hanie has some upside. He is a good athlete that moves around the pocket well and can make plays on the run. He really struggles with accuracy and decisions making, though. He needs a lot more seasoning.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Hanie probably started his last game in the NFL after last season. Don't bother with him on your fantasy roster.
The Denver Broncos and free-agent QB Caleb Hanie (Bears) agreed to a two-year deal Saturday, March 24, according to a source familiar with the situation. Hanie was a former standout at Colorado State during his college days.
Fantasy Impact: Nothing is guaranteed, but Hanie could be the top backup to Peyton Manning this season.

The Chicago Bears have informed impending free-agent QB Caleb Hanie that they will not be re-signing him this offseason.
Fantasy Impact: Not a surprise after his dismal showing last season when given a chance to start.

The Chicago Bears are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent QB Caleb Hanie this offseason.
Fantasy Impact: This isn't a big shock as Hanie really struggled with his chances this season.

Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith said QB Caleb Hanie is the starting quarterback at this point but the starter for Week 16 has not been decided yet.
Fantasy Impact: Not a surprise. Hanie has been brutal of late.

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Hanie went 10-for-23 for 111 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact: Hanie is really struggling as a starter. The Bears need Jay Cutler back in a bad way.

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Hanie completed 12 of 19 passes for 115 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos. He also carried the ball twice for 11 yards. Hanie has lost all three of his starts, all against AFC West Division teams.
Fantasy Impact: Hanie wasn't terrible in the game but once again proved he isn't going to help fantasy teams. This offense doesn't produce much with him at the helm.

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz said he is ready to expand the playbook for QB Caleb Hanie. Hanie will be making his third consecutive start in Week 14.
Chicago Bears QB Caleb Hanie went 11-for-24 for 133 yards and three interceptions in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact: Hanie had a real rough showing, which could cause the Bears to look at signing Donovan McNabb this week.

Chicago Bears QB Caleb Hanie completed 18 of 36 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in the Week 12 loss against the Oakland Raiders. Hanie also posted 50 rushing yards on five attempts.
Fantasy Impact: As expected, Hanie was a little up and down in the game but did make some plays when called on and finished with decent numbers for fantasy teams.
