SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #29
Overall: #185

Flynn started just one game but broke the record for passing yards and touchdowns in a game by a Packers quarterback. Needless to say, he took advantage of his start, throwing for 480 yards and six touchdowns with an interception. Flynn has shown enough the last few seasons to finally get his shot to start in the NFL, landing with the Seahawks. He has completed 62 percent of his passes for his career with 10 total touchdowns to just five interceptions. Flynn has good size and is a pretty accurate quarterback. His arm isn't overwhelming, but gets the job done. Flynn also doesn't run too badly as evident by his 26-rushing yards in 2010. He won't be handed the starting job in Seattle but it certainly is his to lose.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Flynn has plenty of upside and promise in a starting role but remember he isn't in Green Bay anymore. Consider him a bit like Kevin Kolb last season. He is worth a gamble as a No. 2 quarterback but don't count on anything more than that when drafting him. The Seahawks don't exactly have a prolific offense, which is going to hurt Flynn some, but he could have a few big games along the way.
Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn said he has no issue competing for the team's starting quarterback job. 'That's why I came here,' Flynn said. 'I came here for the opportunity to compete. I know that's what I'm going to get and that's all a guy can ask for.'

Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn said the team's offensive playbook is similar to the one he used with the Green Bay Packers so it will be easier for him to learn the offense. He said the biggest thing he will have to do is learn the verbiage the Seahawks use for plays.

The Miami Dolphins were not willing to give QB Matt Flynn more than $4 million a season because they did not think he was a franchise quarterback. Flynn eventually signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said the team made an aggressive push to sign Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn while he was a free agent. 'I think we made an aggressive push. We got him in here relatively quickly,' Philbin said. 'Again, we had a great meeting. Matt (Flynn) and I had some conversations, a number of conversations prior to his arrival to Miami. We had some subsequent ones after. He'd probably be able to give you better answer as to why he chose to go elsewhere. All I know is when we were together the visit was excellent. I thought he got along very well with our offensive staff.'

Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn said he is fine with having to compete with QB Tarvaris Jackson for the starting quarterback job. Flynn believes competition brings out the best in everyone involved.
Fantasy Impact: Flynn should really be the favorite to win the job but nothing is certain.
Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn could earn between $19.5 and $24 million from his three-year contract with the team, or $26 million if he performs at a top-quarterback level. However, chances are he'll play two years of the deal and then the Seahawks will make their decision for the future on him. Flynn's minimum over two years is $13.25 million, a league source said, with that number rising to $15.5 million over two years if he starts in 2012, and $16 million if he starts and the Seahawks make the playoffs. Essentially, Flynn will make between $6.63 million and $8 million a year, depending on whether he beats out QB Tarvaris Jackson for the starting job and how well he plays.
Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn will wear jersey No. 15 for the team.

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms with free-agent QB Matt Flynn (Packers) to a three-year deal worth as much as $26 million. The deal includes $10 million in guaranteed money.
Fantasy Impact: Not a huge deal, which doesn't guarantee him the starting job, but he should be the clear favorite. This isn't a great move for his fantasy value. The Seahawks don't have a ton of weapons in the passing game and have a pretty conservative offense. Consider him a low-end No. 2.
