SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #36
Overall: #213

Henne separated his left shoulder in Week 4 and missed the rest of the season. His injury required surgery. Henne was just alright in the four games played before getting injured. He did throw for 400 yards in a game but had interceptions in every game and a completion percentage of 57 percent. Henne has plenty of starting experience but hasn't seized his chances to start. He has more interceptions (37) than touchdowns (33) for his career. Henne does have a 3,000-yard season under his belt and two years with double-digit touchdowns. He is young enough (27) to get it going but might be running out of time. He just makes too many mistakes. Henne doesn't read defenses too well and makes a lot of poor decisions. He has a strong arm and can make all the throws needed in the NFL, but will struggle with his accuracy and force passes. He'll be the top backup in Jacksonville this season and could get a chance to play if second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert doesn't progress.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Henne has the talent to breakout in the NFL but don't count on it. He just seems to lack the "it" factor to be a top starter. He might be worth a waiver-wire grab if Gabbert struggles, which is very possible, but don't use a draft pick on him this season.
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne said Saturday, April 14, that he expects to enter training camp with the idea of competing for the starting role, and if that doesn't happen, he'll back up QB Blaine Gabbert. 'If they like your style and the way you play, they'll pick you,' Henne said. 'If not, you move on. Whatever your choices are, I'm going to be the same person and compete the best I can.'

The Jacksonville Jaguars and free-agent QB Chad Henne (Dolphins) agreed to a two-year contract Wednesday, March 14.
Fantasy Impact: Blaine Gabbert will be given every chance to start but Henne provides some competition for him. If Gabbert doesn't progress, Henne could be starting for the Jags.

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Chad Henne could receive interest from teams that are looking for someone that can push a suspect starting quarterback and would not cost as much as a starting quarterback. The New York Jets, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs could show interest in Henne. He is believed to be looking for $4 million to $5 million a season in his next contract.

The Kansas City Chiefs could look to sign Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Chad Henne to be competition for QB Matt Cassel during training camp.

The Miami Dolphins will not attempt to re-sign impending free-agent QB Chad Henne, according to league sources. The team has made it clear that they want an upgrade at the position through free agency or the draft.
Fantasy Impact: This isn't a huge surprise. Henne will have a hard time finding a starter's job. He should be a backup with some team in 2012.

The New York Jets could show interest in Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Chad Henne this offseason as possible competition for QB Mark Sanchez. Henne likely would be familiar with the offense offensive coordinator Tony Sparano will run.
