SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #10
Overall: #15

McFadden was on his way to a career season before suffering a foot injury Week 7. He didn't play another down after that game. McFadden had 768 total yards and five touchdowns in seven games. He was averaging a career best 5.4 yards per carry before the injury. His foot injury shouldn't be a factor going forward. He should be 100 percent for training camp and preseason action. McFadden has a 1,000-yard season once during his four-year career but injuries have been a factor throughout his career. He has yet to play a full season as a pro. McFadden produces when healthy, though, so he'll get his chances. It took a few seasons, but McFadden finally lived up to his potential last season. McFadden has a ton of ability. He is a complete back. He catches the ball well (116 receptions in four seasons), can churn out the tough yards and has elite speed to make the big play every time he touches the ball. He is a game changer.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
His injury history hurts his value, but McFadden has as much upside as any back in the game. He can be the top rated fantasy back if all the chips fall into place. Consider him a low-end No. 1 back, though, since he has missed so many games throughout the years. He has the potential to get 2,000 total yards and double-digit touchdowns if he can make it through a full season but that is a big "if."
Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden said Tuesday, May 15, his goal is to rush for 1,800 yards in 2012, the same goal he had for last season. 'I was hoping to get to 1,800 rushing yards, but it didn't work out that way,' McFadden said. 'I will keep pushing for it this year and hopefully get to those goals.'
Fantasy Impact: If he can stay healthy, McFadden is capable of big things.

Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden said Tuesday, May 15, he is comfortable playing in the team's zone blocking scheme. McFadden struggled with the scheme in his first two seasons as a pro, only to have more success when the team switched to a power scheme. 'I feel I can fit in any scheme running the ball,' McFadden said. 'Now I feel like I've got my feet wet in the NFL, now I have my confidence boosted, so it's just, going out there and playing with confidence I'm going to go out there and run the ball.'

Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) said Tuesday, May 15, he is 100 percent after suffering a severe foot injury last season. McFadden is not concerned with injuring the foot again. 'It was just a freak thing, you know. I'm going out there and playing like it never happened,' McFadden said. 'I'm not going to worry about it. My thing is, just go out there and play hard. I can't control the things that happen when you go out there and get tackled, so I just go hard every play.'

Oakland Raiders running backs coach Kelly Skipper said the way RB Darren McFadden (foot) has been working out 'you would never know he got hurt.' McFadden suffered a Lisfranc injury in Week 7 last season and never returned, but he's already back to full speed in workouts. 'The thing about Darren is he didn't have any major surgeries, so he's able to come back here healthy and he's playing at a high level right now and it's offseason,' Skipper said. 'He's making cuts at full speed, everything. There's no problem with that.'
Fantasy Impact: The sky is the limit for McFadden when he is healthy.

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he believes RB Darren McFadden can carry the football 25-30 times a game; however, Allen added a team needs a tandem to carry the load. 'The running back position in this league, I think you have the ability to use different people. Because those runners take such a pounding on a play-in and play-out basis,' Allen said. 'Does (McFadden) have the ability to be the lead back? Absolutely and he will be. But we're going to have to find ways to spell him some, too.'

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he expects RB Darren McFadden (foot) to fully participate in the team's mandatory minicamp.
Fantasy Impact: McFadden needs to prove he can stay healthy for a full season. If he can, the sky seems to be the limit for him.

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he is planning to use RB Darren McFadden a little differently this season to get the most production out of him. 'We're looking forward to finding different ways of using him and kind of exploiting his talents,' Allen said.
Fantasy Impact: Not sure what that means but as long as he is healthy, McFadden should play a big role in the offense. He just needs to stay on the field.

Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) went through all minicamp drills Tuesday, April 17.
Fantasy Impact: Guess he is over his foot injury. He should be fine for 2012. Let's just hope he can finally stay healthy.

Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden (foot) said during a radio interview that he is feeling good, and will continue to play the same style he always has in 2012. McFadden will not worry about the fear of being injured. He has dealt with multiple foot ailments so far in his early career.
