SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #83
Overall: #516

Palko got some starts for the first time in his career but didn't impress with his extended action. He threw for less than 200 yards three of four starts. He also had seven interceptions to just two touchdowns. One positive was he completed 60 percent of his passes but Palko didn't take many chances downfield. Palko is best suited for backup material and even that might be a stretch. He might have the worst arm of any NFL quarterback right now. He just lacks arm strength at the position and struggles with some throws because of this. He is an accurate passer, though, and a good athlete. He can make plays moving around the pocket. He'll battle for the top backup job in 2012.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Palko is not a good fantasy option - even in a starting role. He proved this last season with his dismal performance while getting a chance to start for the Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs decided against tendering offer to exclusive rights free-agent QB Tyler Palko and SS Reshard Langford, making them unrestricted free agents.
Fantasy Impact: Not a surprise with how badly Palko played in a starting role last season.

Kansas City Chiefs interim head coach Romeo Crennel has decided not to start QB Tyler Palko in Week 15.
Fantasy Impact: Nice to see one of the Chiefs' coaches can see Palko has little chance to make it in this league as a starter. Give someone else a chance.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Palko went 16-for-32 for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 14 against the New York Jets.
Fantasy Impact: Another not-so-good performance for Palko. Once Kyle Orton gets healthy, you would think he would get a chance to start.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said he likes the progress QB Tyler Palko has made as a quarterback. He is expected to start in Week 14 against the New York Jets, as QB Kyle Orton (finger) is listed as doubtful. 'It's tough to play quarterback in this league,' Haley said. 'It's tough when your first couple games are what his have been, his first three, really. What he's done is he's gotten better every game and he was playing quarterback when we won a big game and made a couple big plays for us within that game.'
Fantasy Impact: Not sure what Haley has been watching, but Palko hasn't been very good. He might have the worst arm of any starting quarterback right now.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Palko went 17-for-30 for 157 yards and one touchdown in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Impact: Palko has been far from impressive in a starting role but he might continue to start with Kyle Orton getting hurt in his only snap of this game.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said following Week 12 that QB Tyler Palko remains the team's starting quarterback for now. 'Tyler is the starter,' Haley said. 'If we feel there is somebody that gives us a better chance to win, he'll play. That's the guideline we generally follow.'
Fantasy Impact: Right. Kyle Orton will start in Week 13 if ready.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Palko will start at quarterback in Week 12.
Fantasy Impact: He could be on a short leash, though. Kyle Orton will be the starter in Week 13.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley was impressed with QB Tyler Palko, who finished 25 of 38 for 236 yards but three interceptions in Week 11. 'Overall, I thought Tyler did a terrific job of handling the offense, the tempo, we were changing the tempo and trying to create some energy for our side,' Haley said. 'Interceptions are things that can't happen and sacks at inopportune times can't happen, but it's something to build on. He'll get better.'

Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Palko completed 25 of 38 passes for 236 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in Week 11 against the New England Patriots Monday, Nov. 21. He also ran once for minus-6 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Palko had a rough first start of the year. He has a weak arm and doesn't seem to read defenses too well. He is a major reach for fantasy teams.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Palko will start in Week 11 in place of injured QB Matt Cassel (hand). Palko is expected to be the starter as long as Cassel is out of the lineup.
Fantasy Impact: Palko isn't much of a fantasy option. He has showed little promise when playing.
