Naanee finally got consistent playing time as a receiver and took advantage with his best season to date. He caught 44 passes for 467 yards and a touchdown, nearly doubling his previous career bests. Naanee even started several games for the Panthers last season because of injury. Naanee probably won't get quite as much playing time this season but will serve a reserve role and do his usual stellar work on special teams. Naanee has good size and strength for a receiver. He has pretty good speed and decent hands, but still needs to improve as a route runner to continue to get consistent playing time. He has been a solid special teams performer throughout his career, which cements his roster spot.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Naanee will have a hard time repeating last year. We would expect a season with around 30 catches for 350 yards with a score or two. That isn't going to help a ton of fantasy teams.

The Miami Dolphins signed free-agent WR Legedu Naanee (Panthers) to a one-year deal, according to his agent, David Canter. Financial terms weren't given.

Fantasy Impact: Naanee is a good special teams player but won't help as a receiver.

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said he likes what WR Legedu Naanee has brought to the team, and the coach said Naanee has 'played well.' Naanee was targeted 11 times in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears, but he managed just four grabs for 27 yards. Through four games, he has been targeted 25 times, but he has just eight receptions for 75 yards and no scores.

Fantasy Impact: Not exactly taking advantage of his chances. You have to wonder when Brandon LaFell will start taking more of his work.

Carolina Panthers WR Legedu Naanee will continue to be the starter even though WR Brandon LaFell has played well in the first two games.

Fantasy Impact: It seems only a matter of time before LaFell sees his role expand in the offense. He brings a lot more to the table.
