Running Back Rank: #101 Overall: #439
Leonard missed five games with a knee injury but didn't do a whole lot before the injury. He had 17 carries but failed to top 100-rushing yards for the fourth straight season. Leonard continues to get work in the passing game, though, catching 22 passes. He has at least 20 catches in every season as a pro. He is an effective receiver and blocker out of the backfield. Leonard seems to have found his niche offensively, serving many different roles from third-down back to fullback to special teams player. He is a good depth guy because of his ability to play many roles.

Leonard has a little value in PPR leagues because of his pass-catching ability. But outside of those leagues, don't bother with Leonard. He'll get around 300 total yards and has just one NFL touchdown. |

| The Cincinnati Bengals backfield was at full strength for the first time in a couple of weeks when FB Brian Leonard (knee) joined FB Chris Pressley (knee) at practice Wednesday, Dec. 21. Both Leonard and Pressley were limited in practice. With Leonard and Pressley out with knee injuries, the team has struggled in short-yardage situations, especially in Week 15. 'One of the first ones, there was some misunderstanding by one or two of the guys,' Pressley said. 'We understand the fire of third-and-ones and goal line. We've been bad in the red zone and some of those things just have to change. It's an emphasis this week.' |
