SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #49
Overall: #272

Beck got his chance to start with the Redskins last season but didn't do much with that opportunity. He played all of four games, losing the starter's job almost as soon as he got it. Beck did complete 61 percent of his passes but had four interceptions to just two touchdown passes. Beck wasn't terrible in a starting role but didn't do a great job of moving the offense and scoring points. He seemed to stall in the red zone and didn't make a ton of plays downfield. Beck showed he is suited for backup material in the NFL, a role he has served pretty well since entering the league. He'll battle for the top backup job in Houston this year. Beck isn't very physically imposing, but is a good thrower. He is accurate with a strong arm and normally makes solid decisions.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Beck finally got his chance last season but didn't make the most of it. He isn't going to help fantasy teams going forward.
The Houston Texans agreed to a deal with free-agent QB John Beck (Redskins) Wednesday, May 9.
Fantasy Impact: Beck will battle T.J. Yates for the backup job in Houston.

QB John Beck is no longer in the plans of the Washington Redskins; his contract has been terminated by the team following the drafting of QBs Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins.
Fantasy Impact: He was the starter to open last season. Needless to say, he has fallen in a hurry.

Washington Redskins QB John Beck said he believes he will receive another opportunity to start for an NFL team in his career but is not sure when it will happen.
Fantasy Impact: We doubt it. He was pretty awful last season.

Washington Redskins QB John Beck went 0-3 as the team's starter, tossing two touchdowns and four interceptions while compiling a 72.1 passer rating. He said Wednesday, Nov. 16, that he was grateful for the chance to start. 'I do truly believe in the phrase, 'Tough times don't last, tough people do,'' Beck said. 'I'm grateful for the opportunity I did get to play in games and be in front of live bullets.'

ESPN is reporting Grossman will get the start at quarterback in Week 10, replacing John Beck.
Washington Redskins QB John Beck will get another shot at bringing an end to his 0-7 record as an NFL starter. He is expected to start during Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins, but Beck has done little in his three starts to suggest he'll be a long-term option for the Redskins. 'I don't want it to continue,' Beck said of the team's offensive problems. 'I want to put my foot down, and I want it to stop.' Beck went on to say the team has to get better and it has to start with him. Head coach Mike Shanahan said it is easy to blame the quarterback, but the team has lost some pieces of the puzzle recently and it has helped lead to the quarterback looking pretty average. 'We're playing pretty average as a group,' Shanahan said.

Washington Redskins QB John Beck went 30-for-47 for 254 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact: Beck will remain the starter for now but his leash has to be getting shorter. He has been really erratic since taking over as starter.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said QB John Beck will start in Week 9.
Fantasy Impact: Beck hasn't done much in recent weeks but he remains the starter - for now.

Washington Redskins QB John Beck completed 20 of 33 passes for 208 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. He also ran three times for 10 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Beck didn't have a great showing but probably will keep his starting job for now.

Washington Redskins QB John Beck went 22-for-37 for 279 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact: Beck had a fine showing his first start of the year. He should continue to get the starting nod for the time being.
