It took a few years, but Lynch finally had a career season. He was about unstoppable the second half of the year, topping 100 yards six of his last nine games. Lynch scored touchdowns 10 of his last 11 games. He finished the season with a career-high 13 touchdowns. Lynch also set career highs in rushing yards and total yards. He was a consistent force for the Seahawks. It seems Lynch has been around a long time but he is just 26 years old so he has plenty of good years left. He'll continue to be the work horse back in the Seahawks' offense. While his numbers haven't been off the charts as a pro, Lynch does have 1,000-yard season three of five years. He gets it done. Lynch is a big back with top speed and big-play ability. He also is a pretty good receiver out of the backfield. Until last season, consistency was an issue for Lynch but he fought through that last year. He could be maturing as a player.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Lynch won't finish with gaudy yardage numbers but decent enough. He can get around 1,500 total yards and double digit scores. He isn't a surefire No 1 fantasy back but just outside that group. We don't think last season was a fluke. Lynch has the talent to repeat or exceed that showing.

The Seattle Seahawks would like to cut down on the number of carries RB Marshawn Lynch gets this season because they want to keep him healthy throughout the season. Lynch received a career-high 285 carries in 2011.

Fantasy Impact: Makes sense although Lynch doesn't have a ton of wear and tear on him at this point of his career.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch will receive base salaries of $4 million in 2012, and $7 million for 2013 that are fully guaranteed for skill, injury and salary cap. The four-year, $31 million contract also includes a $6 million signing bonus. The annual salary cap figures are $5.5 million, $8.5 million, $7 million and $9 million over the next four years. 'We are excited to keep Marshawn as an important part of what we are building,' general manager John Schneider said. 'This is what we were hoping for when we acquired him from Buffalo.'

The Seattle Seahawks and RB Marshawn Lynch agreed to a four-year deal for $31 million Sunday, March 4. The deal is for $17 million guaranteed. Now, the Seahawks will not have to place the franchise tag on Lynch, who was an impending free agent.

Fantasy Impact: This is a good deal for both sides. Lynch will be the top back in Seattle for years to come.

Lynch led the team with 285 rushing attempts for 1,204 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns last season and is an unrestricted free agent.

General manager John Schneider and Lynch's representatives met Saturday, Feb. 25, at the NFL Scouting Combine. If a deal isn't done by March 5, the team is expected to slap the franchise tag on Lynch for 2012.
