SUMMARY
Tight End Rank: #61
Overall: #372

King saw his numbers really dip last season as the Panthers gave some other options a look at tight end. King had 19 receptions, his lowest total since his rookie season (2006). King had fewer than 200 yards for the second time in three seasons. He had a big season in 2007 but has been mediocre the last three years, averaging 22 receptions for 172 yards and two touchdowns. King isn't much of a pass catcher, but a top blocking tight end. King has good size and speed. He isn't outstanding in any one area, but makes plays when given the chance. He'll compete for the starting job in Arizona but likely will serve as a blocker as much as anything.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
King isn't much of a fantasy option. He'll get around 25 catches for 160 yards and a score or two. Those numbers aren't helping many fantasy teams. There are a lot more exciting options out there for owners.

Arizona Cardinals TE Jeff King is likely to be fined for grabbing the facemask of Washington Redskins WR Brandon Banks and pulling him down to the ground in Week 2. 'I just got to get him down,' King said. 'I didn't mean to grab his facemask. I don't think there were many people behind me, so I was just trying to get him down however possible.'

Arizona Cardinals TE Jeff King posted two receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers, his former team.
Fantasy Impact: Don't expect this every week. He'll have a limited role in the offense.

Updating previous items, the Arizona Cardinals announced Friday, July 29, that they signed TE Jeff King to a three-year deal and LB Stewart Bradley to a five-year deal. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

With the Arizona Cardinals adding TE Jeff King, it appears it will take them out of the running for free-agent TEs Zach Miller (Raiders) or soon-to-be-released Todd Heap (Ravens).
The Arizona Cardinals reached an undisclosed deal with free-agent TE Jeff King (Panthers) Tuesday, July 26.
Fantasy Impact: He could compete for the starting job in Arizona. Don't expect much, though, even if he starts.

The Carolina Panthers may re-sign free-agent TE Jeff King or TE Dante Rosario this offseason because the team is looking for a tight end that can block and catch passes well, reports Steve Reed, of CarolinaGrowl.com. There is a possibility that they re-sign one of the tight ends.
