Croyle didn't play in the NFL at all last season. He is running out of time to make an impact in the NFL. Croyle has started some games throughout his career, but not impressed too much. He has eight touchdown passes to nine interceptions in five seasons. Croyle doesn't seem likely to start in the near future. Croyle is a big kid with a plus arm and pretty good accuracy. He tends to make poor decisions, though, which seems to hold him back. He forces too many throws and doesn't read defenses well. He'll look for a No. 2 or 3 job in 2012.

Croyle hasn't taken advantage of past chances, so don't expect a sudden breakout season. He is a big reach for fantasy teams. Even when he has played in the past, his numbers were far from impressive. |

| Kansas City Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle might be called upon to make a second straight start in Week 15 against the St. Louis Rams if QB Matt Cassel (illness) is inactive again, reports Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star. Offensive coordinator Charlie Weis said Friday, Dec. 17, that Croyle, who is winless in 10 NFL starts, has rebounded from last weekend's disastrous start. 'He bounced back,' Weis said. 'He felt bad. We all felt bad. It was across the board. He didn't have a lot of help on that one. He's a resilient guy and he bounced back.' |

Croyle might be called upon to start in Week 14 against the San Diego Chargers with QB Matt Cassel (appendectomy) doubtful. Croyle took a majority of the first-team reps at practice this week. In this last two starts in 2008, he failed to make it through the full game due to injuries. |
