Quarterback Rank: #37 Overall: #214
Jackson had a solid first season as starter for the Seahawks. His numbers weren't gaudy but he managed the offense well and led the team to some victories. Jackson had career highs across the board while playing for a full season, completing 60 percent of his passes for 3,091 yards and 14 touchdowns with 13 interceptions. He also ran for 108 yards and a score. Jackson had more than 200-passing yards just seven games, though. He also had multiple touchdowns games in just three games. He did have one 300-yard game, though. Jackson probably is best suited as a backup but can do a decent job as a starter. Jackson is a good athlete. He has a plus arm and does a good job making plays on the move. The big knocks on Jackson are he lacks accuracy and makes poor decisions (35 interceptions to 38 touchdown passes). He also doesn't throw a great deep ball.

Jackson proved last season he isn't much of a help to fantasy teams even in a starting role. He really doesn't bring much to the table for fantasy teams. He doesn't throw for many yards and his touchdown potential is limited. If he starts from day one, Jackson could improve on last season a little but don't expect a big jump. He might throw for 3,500 yards and 20 touchdowns if everything goes well but those expectations are probably a bit much. But we don't see Jackson getting the starting job, so he probably isn't worth a pick come draft day. |

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said the team will not make a panic move at quarterback and will stay the course with QB Tarvaris Jackson because a change at quarterback could set the team back. 'That may disappoint fans, because they want to see an instant guy and have that instant success,' Schneider said. 'But really, you're better off continuing to build your team. Initially when I got here, I thought we were going to plug the quarterback in and we were going built around him.'
Fantasy Impact: We wouldn't be convinced Jackson is returning as starter. The Seahawks need to get more dynamic at the position.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin said he believes QB Tarvaris Jackson can lead this team moving forward and that Jackson should not get much criticism for not being able to lead the team from behind this season. 'Tarvaris can't do it all by himself,' Baldwin said. 'He's sitting back there and he's taking the pressure. He takes a lot of heat from fans and a lot of criticism from whoever, but Tarvaris is one of those guys that if he's given an opportunity, he's going to make the best of it. With the capability that he has, it's up to the receivers, the running backs and the offensive line to give him that opportunity. Late in games I think we're putting a lot on his shoulders, and a lot of guys, including myself, weren't coming through for him in key situations when he needed us to.'

The Seattle Seahawks won't rule out surgery for QB Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) this offseason after he struggled with a pectoral injury through most of the season. 'They're still going to wait and see in the next couple weeks,' head coach Pete Carroll said of Jackson. 'But they are encouraged. His arm strength came back, and if that's not full velocity, it was pretty darn close to it ... He's encouraged that he doesn't have to have surgery.'
