SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #96
Overall: #551

Clemens began the year buried on the depth chart in New York but finished the season as the starter in St. Louis. He played the last three games of the year for St. Louis because of injury. Clemens didn't do too badly in a starting role, considering the circumstances. He had three touchdowns to an interception and threw for 220-plus yards two of three games. This also was his first extensive action since 2009. Clemens has a chance to be No. 2 quarterback this season. He helped his case for that position with his showing late in the year. Clemens is fairly mobile and has a decent arm with a quick release. He also is very cerebral, but tends to make too many mistakes despite knowing the offense and what the opponents are giving him (12 interceptions to 10 total touchdowns for his career).
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Clemens showed a little last season but still isn't much of a help to fantasy teams even if he gets some starts. Keep that in mind if he gets forced into action.
Updating a previous report, the one-year contract signed by St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens is worth $710,000, including a $10,000 bonus. His cap figure is $550,000 under minimum salary benefit.

The St. Louis Rams are not expected to be interested in re-signing impending free-agent QB Kellen Clemens this offseason.
Fantasy Impact: Clemens played alright when forced into action but they probably want to get younger at the position.

St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens went 14-for-31 for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers. He also rushed for 18 yards and one touchdown on two carries in the game.
Fantasy Impact: He looked to suffer a pretty serious leg injury late in the game but played pretty well against a good defense before the injury. He probably played well enough to earn a top backup job with some team in 2012.

St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens went 9-for-24 for 91 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16.
Fantasy Impact: Clemens didn't play very well in a tough matchup, but it wasn't a surprise.

St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens said he's becoming more comfortable with the team's offense, and acknowledged he made some mistakes on some underthrown balls last week. 'I've got to get better and I will be,' Bradford said. 'I hate losing as much as I love winning.'

St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens went 25-for-36 for 229 yards and one touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15.
Fantasy Impact: Clemens played well in a starting role considering the circumstances.

St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens is likely to make the start in Week 15 against the Cincinnati Bengals, as QB Sam Bradford (ankle) did not practice again Friday, Dec. 16, and he remains in a protective boot.

St. Louis Rams QB Kellen Clemens received the majority of practice reps with the first-team offense Wednesday, Dec. 14. 'I'm putting a lot of time in (to learn the offense),' Clemens said. 'By Sunday I should be good to go. Anytime you can get reps it helps.'
Fantasy Impact: We expect Clemens to get the start this week. He is not a viable fantasy option, though.
