SUMMARY
Wide Receiver Rank: #101
Overall: #279

Berrian didn't make it through the season, getting released by the Vikings in late October. He had seven receptions for 91 yards in five games before getting cut. Berrian had fewer than 300 yards the previous season so his days might be numbered in the NFL. He is just 31 years old, though, so Berrain could get another chance, likely having to serve a reserve role. Despite getting many chances to start throughout his career, Berrian is yet to have a 1,000-yard season for his career and has topped 900 yards just twice. Berrian is a solid big-play receiver when on his game. His strength remains the deep ball. He has plus speed and can stretch the field in a hurry. He does struggle some on underneath routes and with drops, hurting his chance for consistent playing time.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Berrian's recent trend is very discouraging. Don't bother with him come draft day. It wouldn't surprise to see him get a few more chances this season but don't expect a sudden turnaround or similar production to past seasons. He might get a few hundred yards and a score or two.
Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said the team is not interested in signing free-agent WR Bernard Berrian (Vikings) because it would take away reps from the other receivers.

The Minnesota Vikings have released WR Bernard Berrian.
Fantasy Impact: You could see this one coming. Berrian might not even find work even with several teams looking for receiving help.

Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian said he wants to stay with the team despite being inactive for two of the team's last three games. Berrian met with head coach Leslie Frazier Monday, Oct. 24, about his role with the team.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said Sunday, Oct. 23, that the team will discuss WR Bernard Berrian's future this weeek. He was deactivated for the second time in three weeks, although it was not reportedly due to disciplinary reasons. Frazier was vague on the reasoning for the decision and wouldn't commit when asked if the veteran has a future with the team going forward. 'It's something that we'll talk about this week and we'll talk about it more this week,' Frazier said.
Fantasy Impact: We would expect Berrian to get cut in the coming days.

Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian had five catches for 54 yards in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears, his former team. Berrian came into the game with just two catches for 37 yards in four games this season.
Fantasy Impact: Berrian got a little more work after his benching last week. He still isn't worth using but might be worth monitoring going forward.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said Friday, Oct. 14, that WR Bernard Berrian is still considered a starter despite being deactivated in Week 5. 'We still have him working in the rotation,' Frazier said. 'We're moving forward and we're counting on him to make some play on Sunday.'
Fantasy Impact: Berrian has done next to nothing this year, so don't bother with him. He could be out done in Minnesota.

Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian refused to discuss his deactivation in Week 5, reportedly due to a disciplinary reason. 'That's old news,' Berrian said. 'I'm already over it. Can't do nothing about it now.' He also said he believes his standing on the team, and chemisty with QB Donovan McNabb, is fine.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said WR Bernard Berrian is still in the team's plan even though he was a healthy scratch from Week 5. Berrian will compete for playing time during practice this week.

Minnesota Vikings WR Bernard Berrian was deactivated for the team's Week 5 game because he missed two meetings Saturday, Oct. 8, at the team hotel, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. WR Michael Jenkins started in Berrian's place.
Fantasy Impact: Berrian could be on the cutting block soon.
