SUMMARY
Tight End Rank: #19
Overall: #130

Winslow saw his stats dip a little his second season in Tampa, but he still produced solid numbers. He had at least 66 receptions for the fourth time in five seasons. He had five games with 50-plus yards and at least two receptions in all but one game. His reception and yardage totals were the lowest since playing a full season in the NFL, though. Winslow had a little more to compete with for targets with some youngsters emerging in the Bucs' offense. In his four full seasons, Winslow averages 79 receptions for 899 yards and five touchdowns. Winslow has a history of knee issues, which is a concern, but for now, he seems pretty healthy. Winslow has good speed and can run routes like a receiver. And his size makes him tough to bring down in the open field. He is one of the top tight ends in the game.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Winslow isn't an elite tight end, but he'll get you good reception and yardage totals. Those numbers will be among the top 10 onf all fantasy tight ends. Unfortunately, Winslow doesn't score much (five touchdowns is his career high), which really puts a damper on his value. Consider him a low-end No. 1 tight end for the coming season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did consider the possibility of parting ways with TE Kellen Winslow but likely will keep him because they do not think TE Luke Stocker can be the starter. The team did show interest in TE Martellus Bennett but he signed with the New York Giants.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could consider releasing TE Kellen Winslow this offseason because they would save $5 million in salary cap space. Winslow has had knee problems in his career and only caught two touchdowns this season but did catch 75 passes for 763 yards.
Fantasy Impact: The Bucs have a lot of cap space and need play makers so we would be a little surprised to see Winslow let go.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow said Thursday, Jan. 26, he was disappointed his team didn't make Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski its new head coach, although he also expressed enthusiasm for new head coach Greg Schiano. 'I was really hoping for coach Chudzinski, who I was with at Miami and Cleveland,' Winslow said. 'But, you know, we got another guy in Greg Schiano who I know and heard he's one of the best coaches people have been around. And he's got a lot of enthusiasm and is real energetic so I'm excited, man.'

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow will not receive a $4.45 million bonus in his contract because he did not meet the criteria that activates the bonus. Winslow had to record at least 80 receptions in each season from 2009 through 2011 and needed to make the Pro Bowl each season. Winslow caught 77 passes in 2009, 66 passes in 2010 and currently has 58 receptions this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow gave his support of head coach Raheem Morris despite the team's disappointing season. 'We can't have anything happen to (Morris) - it would ruin the team,' Winslow said. 'Rah is the heart and soul of this team. If something were to happen to him our hearts (would) be broken. We're playing for him.'

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman has targeted TE Kellen Winslow 78 times so far this season but Winslow only has 47 receptions. Seven of Freeman's 15 interceptions have been on passes intended to Winslow. His passer rating on throws to Winslow is 48.9.
Fantasy Impact: The two obviously aren't on the same page but at least Freeman is looking his way often.
