SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #70
Overall: #387

Boller played two games for the Raiders but was bumped to the bench once newly acquired Carson Palmer got up to speed with the offense. Boller was far from impressive in his two games, having three interceptions without a touchdown. His high yardage total was 100 and he completed just 54 percent of his passes. Boller has done next to nothing in the NFL since losing his starting job in Baltimore during the '07 season. Boller has more interceptions than touchdowns each of the last four seasons he has played. He has some value as a backup because of his staring experience, but that is about it. Boller has a strong arm and moves around well. But Boller makes some bad decisions and struggles with accuracy (57 percent career completion percentage). He'll challenge for a backup role.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Boller is a much better competitor than player, which isn't going to help fantasy teams. Don't count on him playing a significant role in the NFL in the near future. He is about done after last season's performance.

The Baltimore Ravens are working out free-agent QBs Kyle Boller (Raiders), Dennis Dixon (Steelers) and Curtis Painter (Colts) Wednesday, April 18.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller will start against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, not newly acquired QB Carson Palmer. There was concern about Palmer's ability to make 'high-velocity throws.' Boller will be making his first start since 2009.
Fantasy Impact: Boller isn't much of a fantasy play in a starting role.

Fantasy Impact: It is looking more and more like Boller will start this week. Carson Palmer isn't quite ready.

Oakland Raiders QBs Carson Palmer and Kyle Boller split reps with the first-team offense during practice Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Fantasy Impact: It is looking more and more like Palmer will start the game this week.

Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson was noncommittal Tuesday, Oct. 18, when asked about his starting quarterback for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. 'You think I'm gonna tell you that? We'll see as we continue to move through the week,' Jackson said. The general thinking is that QB Kyle Boller will start in Week 7, and newly acquired QB Carson Palmer will be given through the bye in Week 8 to learn the playbook and get up to speed with his new system.
Fantasy Impact: Palmer will be given a chance to get ready but not sure he has enough time to get up to speed. He'll be in there before long.

Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson would commit to nothing regarding his starting quarterback for Week 7 until the trade deadline has passed and he examined every option available in the wake of QB Jason Campbell's (clavicle) loss with a broken clavicle. Jackson would not even say flat-out that QB Kyle Boller would start in Week 7.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller will be the team's starting quarterback heading into Week 7 unless the team acquires a veteran quarterback this week. QB Terrelle Pryor is the current backup and is scheduled to come off the exempt list Monday, Oct. 17. CB Joseph Porter is expected to be released if the team brings in another quarterback.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller completed 8 of 14 passes for 100 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns. Boller might be in line to start, unless the team brings in a player from outside of the organization, as QB Jason Campbell (collarbone) suffered a broken bone and might be out for the season.
Fantasy Impact: Boller should be the starter the rest of the way but isn't much of a fantasy play if you look at his past history.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller is the odds-on choice to be the team's backup quarterback.
Fantasy Impact: Trent Edwards continues to show little, so it makes sense.
