Morris continues to produce similar numbers for the Lions. He has three straight seasons of eerily similar production. In the last three years, he averages 345-rushing yards and 26 receptions for 203 yards. Morris is a change-of-pace or third-down back at this stage of his career (32 years old). Morris has averaged at least four yards per carry in all but two NFL seasons. He ran for 600-plus yards just twice in nine seasons, though. Morris is best served in spot duty. He still has good speed and plus moves in the open field. He isn't a very big back, which is a reason why he hasn't started much during his career.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Morris has been pretty consistent through the years. He'll get you about 400 total yards and around 15 receptions. He is an OK deep reserve back for fantasy teams. Don't reach for Morris too soon. His upside is limited compared to younger backs.

Detroit Lions RB Maurice Morris had 12 carries for 28 yards in Week 13 against the New Orleans Saints, and he added five receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown. Morris saw an increased workload with RB Kevin Smith (ankle) departing early.

Fantasy Impact: Morris got more work with Kevin Smith getting hurt. He hasn't done to bad in a starting role but isn't anything more than a flex play.
