SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #8
Overall: #42

Overall, Manning had a pretty big statistical season, but ended on a bit of a down note. He had one or less touchdowns three of the last five games while getting picked off nine times during that stretch. He was a lot more turnover prone, getting intercepted a career-high 25 times. The good news is Manning had a career-high 31 touchdowns and broke the 4,000-yard mark the second straight season. He had four 300-yard games. In six seasons as starter, Manning averages 26 total touchdowns per season. Manning has a very good arm and continues to improve his accuracy. He has the intangibles to be an elite quarterback and seems to be finally making a name for himself in the NFL. If there is a knock on Manning, it is he some throws and makes poor decisions. The Giants are a more balanced offense these days with a good group of young receivers, which is good news for Manning.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Manning flies under the radar at times, but you can't ignore his consistency. He plays in a good Giants offense with a lot of playmakers at receiver. Manning comes just after the elite group of fantasy quarterbacks, but is nipping at that group pretty close. He should get you around 4,000 yards and 30 scores, which should make many fantasy teams happy.

'Drew Brees is a pretty good quarterback and he's at home. Aaron Rodgers is a pretty good quarterback and he's at home. Tom Brady is a good quarterback ... And Eli beat him twice. Ask Tom Brady if that means (something).'

New York Giants QB Eli Manning has been a better postseason quarterback than New England Patriots QB Tom Brady dating back to the 2007 playoffs. Manning has won seven of his past eight postseason games. With a win in Super Bowl XLVI Sunday, Feb. 5, he would join a list of QBs to win eight of nine postseason games: former San Francisco 49ers QB Joe Montana, former Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman, former Oakland Raiders QB Jim Plunkett, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, former Green Bay Packers QB Bart Starr and Brady.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning said he remembers seeing wrinkles and schemes he had not seen from the New England Patriots prior to Super Bowl XLII. As a result, Manning is expecting the unexpected from head coach Bill Belichick's defense. 'Any time you play the Patriots, you always assume they might have something new for you,' Manning said. 'The last time we played them, they showed a lot of different looks, some different schemes on defense, things that they have not shown before. When we played them in the Super Bowl four years ago, they had some new things for that game.'
